Among her entourage traveled René le Florentin, a master perfumer, and with him, a new form of alchemy: the meeting of leather and fragrance. In a small workshop overlooking the Ponte Vecchio, his disciple Girolamo perfected this technique.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHis white leather gloves, delicately scented, became coveted objects among the European courts.
